The person who makes the changes is responsible for maintaining the protective function
of the device.
Make sure that only authorized persons change the conguration.
If you change the conguration, use the password hierarchy provided by your engineering software.
After every change to the conguration, test the protection equipment for e󰀩ciency.
8.1. Module conguration
Overview
There are two options for conguring the devices:
Download an EDS le from the AutomationDirect.com website or the place of purchase. Then,
import the EDS les into your programming software (see Section 7.1, “Loading the EDS les” for an
example of how to do this).
Using the EDS le allows you to benet from the advantages of a precongured connection.
Congure the devices using the integrated web server.
NOTE
To transfer index changes via the WebUI and acyclic ISDU writes to the DataStorage, a
ParamDownloadStore command must be sent after the index changes.
The ParamDownloadStore command can be triggered by writing value 0x05 to index 0x02.

Once the EDS le has been imported into the Productivity software and congured, per Section 7.1, the
module conguration data can be found in Hardware Cong – EtherNet/IP Client Properties -> CONFIG
DATA tab.
In the “Value” column, change conguration parameters by typing in a new value, or selecting from a
drop-down list (see the “IO-Link Port X0 - IO-Link Function Pin 4” parameter example in Fig. 8-1).
