8.3. IO-Link conguration

With the Basic IO-Link Master module, the IO-Link devices can be congured in two di󰀨erent ways:
◼ Explicit Messages in EtherNet/IP
◼ IO-Link Device Tool

It is possible to congure the connected IO-Link devices through EtherNet/IP Explicit Messages.
For further information, please refer to Section 9.2.1, “Diagnostics structure in the control system”.
IO-Link Device Tool
The IO-Link Device Tool enables conguration of IO-Link devices via a graphical interface. The user can
assign and set an IO-Link device for the IO-Link Master IO-Link port. The conguration can then be sent
to the IO-Link device.
