Note: The EX500/EX600’s Service Level indication might take
several flights to synchronize to the correct level, but you will
still receive and see the weather products you have
purchased.
11.1.2 Activating Sirius Audio
Setting up a Sirius Audio Account
If you have an MLB700 Broadcast Datalink receiver with audio
capability installed, and you have registered the product on
www.myavidyne.com
, you will need to contact Sirius at 1-888-539-
7474 to activate the audio subscription.
Note: You must provide the audio ESN when you activate the
audio. Providing a data ESN for audio activation can disable
your data activation.
You will be required to provide the following:
● Your name
● The Audio Package you want (details available at
www.sirius.com
). Choose the Audio service you want based on
the channels that you would like to receive.
● Audio s/n - Power up your Avidyne Remote Control. The s/n is
located on the first screen.
● Credit Card Information
Verifying Sirius Activation
To verify that your receiver is activated, do the following:
1) Move your aircraft outside to an area with a clear view of the sky.
2) Power up both the EX500/EX600 and the Broadcast receiver.
3) Wait 20 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, turn MLB700 power
off for 3 seconds and back on. This is most easily done with the
MLB or WX circuit breaker.
