The detector background is determined at the factory for each
probe and can be taken from the supplied data sheet. The de-
tector background values are entered in the Background sub-
menu.
Connect the detector with the 8-pin connector Fischer to the
turned off LB 134. After power on of the LB 134, the connected
detector is checked and identified by the software, and the re-
spective parameters are loaded.
If there is a detector failure (defect), the entire probe has to be
replaced. The counter tubes cannot be replaced by the custom-
er, but only by BERTHOLD service technicians.
