CAUTION!
Only use a battery charger compliant to IEC 606011 if you are charging a battery that at
the same time is connected to the ventilator.
The ventilator can be operated from:
• The Breas XPAC using the XPAC battery cable.
• A 12 V external DC source using the 12-24 VDC car adapter cable.
• A 24 V external DC source using the external battery cable.
• Both AC power supply and external DC using the Y-cable.
With an external DC source connected, the Nippy 4 will automatically switch over to the
external DC source if the mains power cord is removed or if the mains power supply fails.
The external DC voltage level is shown under “Device Information” in the menu.
1 Connect the external DC cable to the
Nippy 4. Make sure that it is fitted correctly.
2 Connect the other end of the cable to the DC source.

5.12.1 Connecting and Disconnecting the Cables
1 Insert the cable in the appropriate port.
2 Make sure to insert the connector with
the marking pointing upwards.
