Alarm condition A High Expired Minute Volume alarm will be given when the
monitored expired minute volume exceeds the alarm limit for
15 seconds.
Possible cause
Mismatch between Breath Rate, Tidal Volume settings and
the alarm setting.
Increased Breath Rate.
Setting range
1.0 to 40 l/min
Off
Setting resolution
0.5 l/min
Ventilator action The ventilator will continue treatment with the same settings.

Alarm condition A Low Expired Minute Volume alarm will be given when the
monitored minute volume is below the alarm limit for more
than 15 seconds.
Possible cause
Mismatch between Breath Rate and Tidal Volume settings
and the alarm setting.
Changes in airway resistance and or compliance.
Decreased Breath Rate.
Leakage around the mask or within one of the components
of the circuit.
Setting range
1.0 l/min to 30 l/min
Off
Setting resolution 0.5 l
Ventilator action The ventilator will continue treatment with the same settings.
