Alarm condition A High Expired Minute Volume alarm will be given when the
monitored expired minute volume exceeds the alarm limit for
15 seconds.
Possible cause
• Mismatch between Breath Rate, Tidal Volume settings and
the alarm setting.
• Increased Breath Rate.
Setting range
• 1.0 to 40 l/min
• Off
Setting resolution
0.5 l/min
Ventilator action The ventilator will continue treatment with the same settings.

Priority High
Alarm condition A Low Expired Minute Volume alarm will be given when the
monitored minute volume is below the alarm limit for more
than 15 seconds.
Possible cause
• Mismatch between Breath Rate and Tidal Volume settings
and the alarm setting.
• Changes in airway resistance and or compliance.
• Decreased Breath Rate.
• Leakage around the mask or within one of the components
of the circuit.
Setting range
• 1.0 l/min to 30 l/min
• Off
Setting resolution 0.5 l
Ventilator action The ventilator will continue treatment with the same settings.
