PISTON JETS
Removal
1. See Figure 3-135. Remove two TORX screws from each
piston jet assembly to free piston jets from right crank-
case.
2. Remove piston jet gaskets from right crankcase.
Installation
NOTES
● Gaskets that are missing, distorted, pinched or otherwise
damaged will result in either oil leakage or low oil pres-
sure.
● Gasket is part of the piston jet assembly. Gasket not sold
separately.
1. Install new piston oil jet assemblies in right crankcase.
2. Apply LOCTITE Low Strength Threadlocker 222 (purple)
to threads of TORX screws.
3. With the jet pointed upward, install TORX screws to
secure piston jet to crankcase. Tighten screws to 25-35
in-lbs (2.8-4.0 Nm).
