6) WHAT TO DO TO OBTAIN WARRANTY COVERAGE
The cust om er must cea se using the SSV upon the appeara nc e of an anom aly.
The custom er must notify a servicing B R P de aler within three ( 3) days of the
appearance of a defect, and provide i t with reasonable access to the product and
reasonable opportunity to repair it. The custom er must a lso pres ent to the autho-
rized BRP dealer, proof of purchase of the product and must sign the repair/work
order prior to starting the repair in order to validate the warranty repair. All parts
replaced unde r this limited w a rranty becom e the property of B RP.
7) WHAT BRP WILL DO
BRP’s obligations und er this warranty are lim ited to, at its sole discretion, repairing
parts found de fective under normal use, ma intenance a nd service, or repl aci ng
such pa rts w ith new genuine Ca n-Am SSV pa rts without charge for parts and
labor, a t any a uthorized BRP dealer during the w arranty c ov erage period under the
conditions described herein. BRP's respons ibi lity is limited to making the required
repairs or replacements of parts. No claim of breach of w arranty shall be cause for
cancellation or rescission of the sale of the SSV to the own er.
In the event that service is required outside of the cou ntry of original sale, the
owner will b ea r responsibil ity for an y additional cha rges due to local prac tices
and conditions, such as, but not limited to, freight, i ns ura nc e, taxes, licens e f ees ,
import duties, and a ny and all other financial c ha rges, including those levied by
governments, states, territories and their respective a gencies.
BRP reserv es the rig ht to improve or modify products from time to time without as -
suming any obligation to modify products previo us ly manufact ured.
8) ADDITIONAL SUPPLIER WARRANTIES
A GPS receiver may be suppli ed by BRP as standa rd e quipment on certain 2021
Can-Am SSV. The G PS receiver is covered under BRP ’s li mited warranty policy.
Additional warranty coverage if offered b y the GPS receiver “supplier” that is
longer than BRP's limited warranty is to be dealt by the dea ler or consume r directly
with the GPS receiver “supp lier”.
9) TRANSFER
If the ownership of a product is transferred during the warranty coverage p eriod,
this limited warranty, subject t o its terms and conditions, shall also be transferred
and be v a lid for the remaini ng coverage period provid ed BR P or an authorized
Can-Am SSV Distributor/Dealer receives a proof that the former owner agreed to
the transfer of ownership, in a ddition to the co-ordinates of the new owner.
10) CO NSUM ER ASSISTA N CE
In the event of a controversy or a dispute in connec tion with this limited warranty,
BRP sugges ts that y ou try to resolve the issue at the deale rship level. We recom-
mend discuss ing the issue with the authorized dealer's s erv ice manager or owner.
