In AUSTRALIA and NEW-ZEALAND o nly, this warranty will be in e ffe ct from (1)
the date of delivery to the first retail c onsumer or (2) the date the product is first
put into use, whichever occurs fi rst, and for a period of (1) TWENTY -FO UR (24)
CONSECUTI VE MONTHS or (2) a total use of FI FTEE N THOUSAND (15 000)
kilometers, whichever occurs first, for private use or commercial use.
The repair or replacement of parts or the performance of service under this war-
ranty does n ot extend the l ife of this wa rranty beyond its original expi ration date.
FOR PRODUCTS SOLD IN AUSTRALIA ONLY
Nothing in these Warra nty terms and conditions should be taken to ex c lude,
restrict or modify the application of a ny condition, warranty, guarantee, right or
remedy conferred or implied under the C om petition and Consume r Act 2010
(Cth), includin g the Aus tralian Consume r Law or any other law, where to do so
would contrav ene tha t law, or cause a ny part of t hese terms and conditions to be
void. The benefits given to you under this limited warranty hereto are in addition
to o ther rights and remedie s that y ou ha v e under Australian law.
Our goods com e with guarantees that cannot be ex c luded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major fa il ure
and for co m pens a t ion for any o ther reasonab ly forese ea ble loss or dam a ge. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the go ods fail to be of
acceptable quality a nd the failure does not am ount t o a major failure.
5) CONDITIONS TO HAVE WARRANTY COVERAGE
This warranty coverage is available only if each of the f ollo wi ng conditions ha s
been fulfilled:
– The 2021 Ca n- Am SSV must be purchased as new and unused by its first owner
from a Can-A m S SV Distributor/Dealer authorized to distribute Ca n-Am SS Vs in
the country in which the s a le occurred;
– The BRP s pec ified pre-deli ve ry inspection proc es s must be com pleted a nd doc-
umented;
– The produc t must have undergone proper registration by an authorized Can-A m
SSV Distributor/Dealer;
– The 2021 Ca n- Am SSV must be purchased in the c ountry o r union of countries
in which the purchaser resides; and
– R outine maintenance outlined in the Operator’s Guide must be timely per-
formed in order to maintain warranty cov erage. BRP reserves the right to make
warranty cov era ge c ontingent upon proof of proper maintenance.
BRP will not honor this limited warranty to a ny pri vate use owner or com m ercial
use owner if one of the prece ding conditions has not been met. Suc h li m itations
are necessary in order to allow BRP to preserve both the safety of its products,
and also that of its consumers and the general public.
6) WHAT TO DO TO OBTAIN WARRANTY COVERAGE
The customer mus t ceas e using the SSV upon the appearan ce of an anoma ly. The
customer must no tify a ser vicing C an- Am SSV Di stributor/Dealer within two (2)
days of the appearance of a defect, and provide it with rea sona ble access to the
product and reas ona ble opportunity to repair it. The custom er m us t also present
to the authorized Can-A m SSV Distributor/Deale r proof of purcha s e of the product
