[Remedy/Answer]
If the above symptom occurs, follow the procedures below:
1) Referring to Service Manual, replace the 4 parts, listed below of the primary corona assembly of the color that causes the poor
image density, at the same time.
- ETCHING GRID PLATE: FC0-9857
- 0.06MM CORONA WIRE 0.06MM (20M): FB4-3687
- WIRE CLEANING PAD HOLDER: FL2-0464
- WIRE CLEANING PAD BLOCK: FL2-4271
2) Referring to Service Manual, check the filter base (FC6-8137-000) inside the exhaust duct unit ozone filter for clogging.
If the old-type filter base (FC6-8137-000) [A] is clogged just like [1] mentioned above, replace it with the new-type filter base
(FC6-8137-010) [B]. The Fig. [A] shows the old type and the figure [B] shows the new type.
3) Execute User Mode, Settings/Registration>Adjustment/Maintenance>Maintenance>Wire cleaning.
4) Print the sample image to check that poor image density does not occur.

Clean or replace each filter [1] to [9] listed in the following table of the filters by referring to its respective estimated cleaning timing
and estimated life (sheets) per replacement.
If the filters with * are clogged, the above-mentioned symptom is likely to occur.
Especially, if the filter base is clogged, the above-mentioned symptom is more likely to occur. The estimated cleaning timing for
the filter base is every 2.000.000 sheets. This is the same timing as the estimated life (sheets) per replacement for the exhaust
duct unit ozone filter, so when replacing it, clean the filter base.
