Clears the TCP connection to the specified MSDP peer and resets
all MSDP message counters.
clear ip msdp peer [peer-address | peer-name]
Example:
Device# clear ip msdp peer
Step 2
Clears the statistics counters for the specified MSDP peer and resets
all MSDP message counters.
clear ip msdp statistics [peer-address |
peer-name]
Example:
Device# clear ip msdp statistics
Step 3
Clears SA cache entries.
clear ip msdp sa-cache [group-address]
Step 4
Example:
Device# clear ip msdp sa-cache
If the clear ip msdp sa-cache is specified with the optional
group-address argument or source-addressargument, all SA
cache entries are cleared.
Use the optional group-address argument to clear all SA cache
entries associated with a specific group.
Enabling SNMP Monitoring of MSDP
Perform this optional task to enable Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) monitoring of MSDP.
Before You Begin
SNMP and MSDP is configured on your devices.
In each PIM-SM domain there should be a device that is configured as the MSDP speaker. This device
must have SNMP and the MSDP MIB enabled.
Note
All MSDP-MIB objects are implemented as read-only.
The Requests table is not supported in Ciscos implementation of the MSDP MIB.
The msdpEstablished notification is not supported in Ciscos implementation of the MSDP MIB.
