Secon 7 - Technical Informaon
3. The chamber now lis and the second motor drives the lter belt and the waste is
scraped into the waste bucket.
7.9.2 Tea Brewing
1. The tea outlet elbow and baseplate are colour coded blue and the belt is white with
white stching.
2. The chamber clamps down onto the base plate and lter, water and tea leaves are
then dispensed. Gravity draws the tea through the lter and it is delivered into the
cup.
3. The chamber now lis and the second motor drives the lter belt and the waste is
scraped into the waste bucket.
7.10 Power Supply Units
Warning: Power to the machine should be switched o before covers are removed.
1. The main power supply unit (PSU) provides power to the machine. it is mounted in the
top right hand side of the COTI machine and can be accessed by removing the top RH
panel. On the LINEA it is mounted in the back of the machine behind the rear cover.
2. The PSU converts 110V AC to 24V DC to run the Control board, I/O board, valves,
whipper motors, ingredient motors, brewers, etc. ed to the machine. The solid state
relay is mounted on the PSU chassis and uses a 24V DC switching circuit to provide
110V AC for the heater element.
3. A secondary PSU converts 110V AC to 12V DC to power the screen.
4. The Input/output (I/O) board, mounted on the PSU chassis, ulises signals from the
main controller in order to operate valves, whipper motors, dispense head motor,
ingredient motors, brewer motors, etc.
5. There are three fuses. On the COTI they are mounted adjacent to the power supplies,
on the LINEA they are on the rear panel of the machine.
Heater, 12 amp (T) (ceramic) - Gravity boiler/Espresso boiler - (MDA 12A)
110V AC Auxiliary, 4 amp (glass) - (MDA 4A)
24V DC Output, 3.2 amp (T).
7.11 Mains Filter
A mains lter, mounted on the rear panel, prevents spurious voltages generated by the
machine from reaching the mains supply.
7.12 Coin Mechanism Transformer (For Exec monetary devices
- oponal extra - COTI Machines only)
The coin mechanism transformer converts 110V AC to 24V AC for Execuve protocol coin
mechanisms and cashless systems. Refer to 7.14 Coin and Card/Key Systems
These machines may be equipped with coin or card/key validaon systems using either
Execuve protocol or an MDB system. The coin or card/key system informs the vending
