The following fields may be configured:
Parameter Description
Profile ID
Use the drop-down menu to select the pre-configured Profile ID that will be used to configure the
Flow Metering parameters.
Profile Name
Use the drop-down menu to select the pre-configured Profile Name.
Access ID (1-128)
Enter the Access ID that will be used to configure the Flow Metering parameters, enter a value
between 1 and 128.
Mode
Select the mode to be used. Available options are trTCM, srTCM or Rate. E
corresponding information.
Rate – Rate mode includes configuration for Rate, Burst Size, and Rate Exceeded used to place
restrictions on the rate of flow.
• Rate – Enter a value to limit the flow rate. The range for the rate limit value is 0 to
1000000 Kbps.
• Burst Size – Enter a value to limit size of packet bursts. The range for rate limit value is
1 to 16384 Kbps. The default value is 4 Kbyte. The parameter is optional.
• Rate Exceeded – Choose an action to take if the defined rate is exceeded. The options
are to Drop Packet, or Remark DSCP (requires entry of a DSCP value between 0 and
63).
trTCM – Two Rate Three Color Marker, marks packets green, yellow or red based on two rates
and two burst sizes. It is useful when peak rates need to be enforced.
• CIR (Kbps) – Specifies the Committed Information Rate of the packet. The range is 0 to
1000000.
• PIR (Kbps) – Specifies the Peak Information Rate of the packet. The range is 0 to
1000000.
• CBS (Kbyte) – Specifies the Committed Burst Size of the packet. The unit is Kbyte. That
is to say, 1 means 1Kbyte. This parameter is optional and the default value is 4. The
maximum value is 16*1024. The range is 0 to 16384.
• PBS (Kbyte) – Specifies the Peak Burst Size of the packet. The unit is Kbyte. That is to
say, 1 means 1Kbyte. This parameter is optional and the default value is 4
maximum value is 16*1024. The range is 0 to 16384.
