4. After cleaning you should reas-
semble the filter element, making
sure that it is free from dust and
dirt. Assure that all o-rings are in
place.
5. Bleed the fuel system. (See
“Bleeding the fuel System” in the
service section)
•
If dust and dirt enters the fuel
system, the fuel pump and
injection nozzles are subject
to premature wear. To prevent
this, be sure to clean the fuel
lter bowl and element period-
ically.
IMPORTANT
1. The air cleaner uses a dry ele-
ment. Never apply oil.
2. Dust should not accumulate in the
evacuator valve. Remove and clean
it. Clean the element and filter as-
sembly every week. If the tractor is
operated in extremely dusty condi-
tions, daily inspection is required.
3. Do not service the filter unless it
should be cleaned.
4. If the element is stained with car-
bon , dust or oil, replace the lter.
REPLACING AIR CLEANER PRIMARY ELEMENT(T)
•
The air cleaner will only fulll
its function if it is correctly
and regularly maintained. A
poorly maintained air cleaner
will mean loss of power, ex-
cessive fuel consumption and
a reduction in engine life.
•
Do not run the engine with l-
ter element removed.

5. For lter replacement, refer to the
instruction for replacing the air
cleaner lter for every year.
To clean the element, use only clean
dry compressed air on the inside of
the element. Air pressure at the nozzle
must not exceed 29 psi (2 kgf/cm²).
Maintain reasonable distance between
the nozzle and the lter.
