• When operating near ditches and
banks, always keep your tractor
behind the shear line. Avoid ditch-
es, embankments and river-banks
which might cave in.

• If you need cross a steep slope,
do not steer uphill, but slow down
and take a wide turn. Always drive
straight up or down a slope, nev-
er across it. When travelling up or
down a slope, keep the heavy end
of the tractor and the implement
pointed uphill.

• When driving across a slope with
mounted implements, keep such im-
plements on the uphill side. Do not
raise implements. Keep them as low
and near to the ground as possible.
