How the Card Travels
WhenyousendaprintjobfromthePC,thecardisverifiedandsenttotheprinter.Thehopper
pickmechanismpicksacardandmovesthecardintotheprinterforprocessing.
Optionally,thecardmovestothemagneticstripeencodingareaortothesmartcardparkstation,
dependingonthetypeofcardselected.Encrypteddataisdecryptedandwrittentothecard.In
anSD460laminatingsystem,thecardthenmovesintothelaminatorwheretheoverlaymaterial
isappliedtothecard.Thefinishedcardexitstheprinterthroughthecardoutputhopper.
