CONFIGURING INPUTS
The G130i and G230i allows you to configure 4 inputs using the two available
D-Type connections; the G220i and G320i allows 8 inputs to be configured.
Inputs can be configured on the G-Series to perform the following functions:
• D-Top - External Print Trigger. Either from PLC or sensor.
• Print Enable: Enables continuous printing until the input is activated
again.
• Message Increment: Increments the printing message.
• Message Decrement: Decrements the printing message
• Message Reset: Resets the message selection back to the original start
level.
• Print Direction: Changes the direction of the print for traversing
applications.
• Counter: Input used for the configuration of counters (refer to “Counter
Configuration” on page 3-45). More than one counter can be
configured.
• Open Shutter: Activates the installed shutter (See Shutter Installation
guidelines).
• Enable Cyclic Micro Purge: Switches on the Cyclic Micro purge.
• Cyclic Micro Purge: Purges the print head as long as the input is enabled.
• Inhibit Intelligent Micro Purge: Switches off Intelligent Micro Purge.
• Intelligent Micro Purge: Switches on Intelligent Micro Purge.
• Message Selection: Use to select one of 8 messages selectable via the
BCD (Binary Code Decimal).
• No Function: No function is configured for this input.
• Start/Stop print: Enable and disable print Groups.
