KEYBOARD, OPTION AND FUNCTION
BUTTONS
Navigation and Data Entry
• Use the cursor buttons to move from one field to another.
• Use the edit button to select a field for data entry or edit.
• Use the edit button or the “Enter” button, to validate data entry/edit in
a field.
• In the data area use the “Alt” button to enter special character. For
example, to enter an “à”, press on the “a” button and then three times
on the “Alt” button. For a full list of available special characters, please
see “Entering Special Characters” on page 3-47.
• The row of characters to edit can be seen in the file key.cfg.
• In some fields, use the cursor buttons to activate the scrolling menu.
• Select “Accept New Values” to save changes.
• Use the “Escape” button to return to the previous page and abandon
changes.
• Use the “Currency” button to insert a currency symbol in a message: -
press the “Currency” button once to insert the $ sign
- press and hold down the “Currency” button while pressing “Alt” once,
twice or three times to insert, respectively: “£”, “¢” or “ ¥”.
• Use the “Alt” and up/down cursor buttons to change the contrast.
