    • K
      Karen JohnsonAug 6, 2025
Check if the network cable or wireless connection is disconnected. If so, reconnect it. If that doesn't work, unplug the power adapter from the wall socket, wait 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. Then, try connecting to the Edimax Security Camera again.

How to fix Edimax IC-3110 Security Camera when I can not connect to it?
    • A
      Amy CarlsonAug 10, 2025
First, confirm the IP address setting of your computer; they must be in the same subnet to communicate. Verify that the IP address used to connect to the network camera is correct. If you've forgotten the IP address, reset the camera to the factory default (192.168.2.3) by pressing and holding the reset button for 5 seconds. Ensure the camera is correctly powered and that the 'Power' LED is on. If connecting from the Internet, ensure the camera's video and HTTP port are not blocked by a firewall.

What to do if my Edimax IC-3110 image refreshes very slow?
    • J
      Jennifer PerkinsAug 15, 2025
If you're connecting the Edimax Security Camera from the Internet, a slow Internet connection could be the cause. In that case, use a lower frame rate or resolution. If not, try a higher frame rate setting or a lower resolution. If you are using wireless connection, also adjust the antenna to be perpendicular to the ground for best reception, and ensure the distance between the camera and computer/wireless access point isn't too far. If you're using PPPoE, adjust the 'MTU' setting.

Adjust the focus ring on the Edimax Security Camera until the image becomes clear. Clean the lens with a soft cloth; you can use water, but avoid alcohol or chemical solutions. Also, try adjusting the brightness setting. If there's any light in the area, switch it on to see if the image improves.

What to do if I don't receive images from my Edimax IC-3110 via Email or FTP?
    • K

If sending images by Email, ensure they aren't blocked by anti-spam mechanisms. For FTP, verify you have sufficient permissions for uploading. Make sure the username and password for the SMTP server are correct if authentication is required. Check the log for FTP upload or Email sending failures for clues. Try changing the threshold to a more sensitive setting.
