5.4. Transferring File Parameters
The user may transfer certain files to or from the TEC 2000 using a computer with an IrDA
port or RS485 port. This requires EIM TecLinc software for displaying, editing, storing, and
printing these files. All user instructions for file transfer process are displayed on the external
computer screen. No instructions are displayed on the LDM or RDM LCD.
The TEC 2000 is not required to be in āSETUPā mode for file transfer. Files may be
transferred from the TEC 2000 during normal operation. Files may be transferred to the TEC
2000 only while the selector knob is in the STOP position. The TEC 2000 detects the
external computer via the IrDA port or RS485 port and automatically establishes
communication secession.
Available files that may be transferred from the TEC 2000 to a computer are listed below.
Only three types of files may be transferred from a computer to the TEC 2000 as listed below.
These files do not include any calibration parameters such as display contrast, analog input
and output calibration, etc. This process does not require a passcode because the external
application software may be passcode protected.
