3. Plugtheotherendofthecableintotheappropriateportontheotherdevice.Somecablesmay

beterminatedattheotherendwithtwoseparateconnectors,oneforeachfiber‐opticstrand.In

thiscase,ensurethatthetransmitfiber‐opticstrandfromtheD2isconnectedto

thereceive

portoftheotherdevice,andthereceivefiber‐opticstrandontheD2isconnectedtothe

transmitportoftheotherdevice.

4. RepeatthisprocedureforotherSFPports,ifneeded.

5. IfanSFPportisunused,installadustcover.

orwall‐mountedswitchasshowninFigure 2‐27onpage 2‐34.
