Date/Time Settings
❏ Date/Time: Enter the current date and time.
❏ Daylight Saving Time: Select the summer time setting that applies to your area.
❏ Time Dierence: Enter the time dierence between your local time and UTC (Coordinated
Universal Time).
Language
Select the country or region in which you are using your scanner.
Keyboard
Change the layout of the keyboard on the LCD screen.
Operation Time Out
When set to On, you are returned to the Home screen when no operations have been performed for
the specied time. is setting is applied when any screen other than the Home screen is displayed.
PC Connection via USB
You can restrict the usage of the USB connection from the computer. If you want to restrict it, select
Disable.
Direct power on
Turn on the scanner directly when the scanner is connected to the power source, without pressing the
power button.
Scanner Settings
Double Feed Stop Timing
Set the operation when any double feed is detect.
❏ Immediately: Stops feeding immediately

any double feed is detected.
❏ Aer Eject: Scans documents for which a double feed is detected as they are, but scanning of the
next document is stopped.
When you are satised that there are no problems in the scanned image, you can continue scanning.
Paper Protection
To reduce damage to the document, scanning stops immediately when the following conditions are
detected.
❏ A paper feed error has occurred
❏ An original is fed at an angle
To enable this feature, select the level of detection you want to use. See the following table for details on
each level.
Level Explanations
On-Low Lower the sensitivity to detect the skew of the originals.
