General Specications for Originals Being Scanned

When scanning in the vertical path
position: 40 to 127 g/m
When scanning in the straight path
position: 40 to 413 g/m
When scanning A6 size or smaller
originals: 40 to 209 g/m
Max: 215.9×5,588 mm (8.5×220.0 in.)
Min: 50.8×50.8 mm (2.0×2.0 in.)
The loadable size varies depending on
the type of the originals, the scanning
resolution, and the scanning method.
Note:
All originals must be at at the leading edge.
Make sure that curls on the leading edge of the originals are kept within the following range.
A
must be 5 mm or less.
B
must be 3 mm or less.
C
must be greater than or equal to

is less than 1 mm. When

is greater than 1 mm, it should be at least 10
times the size of

Even when the original meets the specications for originals that can be placed in the ADF, it may not feed from the ADF
depending on the paper properties or quality. Additionally, some originals may decrease the scan quality.
