2.3.4.4 Gate Array E01A05 Operation in Carriage Drive Circuit
The phase switching for the carriage motor (stepper motor) is performed by gate array E01A05 (7A). This
gate array first sets the excitation system (2-2 phase or 1-2 phase) and rotation direction (clockwise or
counterclockwise). Then, after
the
CPU outputs a pulse to the TM terminal of the gate array, the array ex-
ecutes auto phase switching to drive the stepper motor. Figure 2-44 illustrates this process.
