Malfunction Possible causes Remedy
Dark display
The gage is switched off. Switch on the gage
with the key.
The protective film is still
in the battery compart-
ment and is inhibiting the
energy supply.
Remove the protective
film from the battery
compartment before
use.
The battery compartment
contains defective batter-
ies.
Change the batteries,
see page 76.
The USB port is in an
undefined state.
Remove the batteries
and place them in the
battery compartment
again. Switch on the
gage with the key.
Faulty measure-
ments
The housing grille is cov-
ered, e.g., by fingers or
hand, this occur faulty
measurements of relative
humidity and air tem-
perature
Keep the housing
grille in the lower area
of the gage clear.
Avoid covering with
hands, material or
other objects.
The plug of the connected
external surface tem-
perature sensor is not
properly inserted into the
gage socket.
The cable or the plug of
the external surface tem-
perature sensor is defec-
tive.
Check the connection
of the external surface
temperature sensor.
Check the external
surface temperature
sensor of his proper
functioning.
