8.3 USB data transfer to a CAQ system
Information on how to use your CAQ program can be found in the corre-
sponding Operator's Manual (
CAQ program).
8.3.1 Data transmission formats
Output format: ASCII strings followed by a CRLF (Carriage Return Line Feed;
CR = ASCII13, LF = ASCII10)
8.3.2 USB connection settings
For data transfer via USB interface, in addition to the physical connection be-
tween PC and gage via USB cable, settings of the corresponding transfer pa-
rameters in the CAQ system and in the gage are also necessary.
Before you start
The CAQ program is available on PC.
An USB cable, e.g. from scope of supply, is ready.
For data transmission, use the USB cable from the scope of supply or any
other commercially available USB cable with a C/A-type plug; maximum
usable cable length: 3 m (118.11 inches).
Procedure
1. Settings in the gage
Navigation
: Selects – parameter/value
: Confirms – selection/setting
:Exits – page/menu
a Activate the ASCII data export via USB interface:
Main menu ( ) > Gage Settings > OK > Data Transfer > OK > PcDatex
> OK > USB > OK > Block Separator > OK > PC-DATEX > OK.
