5.2 Installing the components in the rack
CAUTION!
l Please note the instructions in section.
l At least two people are needed to position the server into/out of the rack.
l The rack can tip over when more than one unit is removed.
l The ETERNUS CS800 system may not occupy the top height unit of the rack
(38 HU/42 HU PRIMECENTER Rack), as otherwise boards or fans cannot
be replaced even with the plug-in module fully extended.
5.2.1 Installation of the Server Module in a PRIMECENTER Rack
For installation in a PRIMECENTER rack, the following parts are required:
l Support bracket
l One support system on the left and one on the right
General information is provided in the technical manual for the PRIMECENTER
rack.
When mounting the left telescopic rail in the PRIMECENTER rack, the supplied support
bracket must first be mounted on the rear left support upright flush with the bottom edge of
the device.
Fitting the Support Bracket
When mounting the left telescopic rail in the PRIMECENTER rack, the supplied support
bracket must first be mounted on the rear left support upright flush with the bottom edge of
the device.
