6.2 Connecting the Notebook with the Server
Proceed as follows:
1. Using an Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet port of the notebook to the service port
(the right onboard port labeled "0").

2. Configure the network settings on the notebook.
This procedure assumes you are running Windows 7, 8.x or 10 on the
computer. The steps might be different if you are using another operating
system.
a. Type network and sharing into the Search box in the Start Menu and select Network
and Sharing Center when it comes up. When Network and Sharing Center opens,
click on Change adapter settings.
b. Right-click the network connection that corresponds to the Ethernet port you have
connected to the server (for example, Local Area Connection), and click Properties.
c. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the list of connections, then click Properties.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window displays (see figure below).
d. Select Use the following IP Address and then enter the following information:
