PIN code is unrelated to data reporting, however it is necessary for polling
(see paragraph 5.2). Enter PIN code as shown below.
4. PIN Code is selected; press the [Enter] key to open the PIN code entry
window.
5. Key in PIN code, using up to eight digits. The PIN code is a password used in
message reports. When a ship receives a polling command w/PIN code from
a shore subscriber and the code matches that of the ship, the ship sends a
message report.
6. Press the [Enter] key to close the window.
7. Press the [↓] key to choose Status.
8. Press the [Enter] key to open the status options window.
