16.1 What
Quickfield is flight simulation software. This software is used to create and edit a flight plan.
16.2 Custom map
16.2.1 What
A custom map is a georeferenced image file. Typical sources for a custom map are:
● GIS software packages
● Other software that can georeference image files

OTE: A custom map has a fixed zoom level. Once the map is loaded in Quickfield, you can
not zoom in or out.
16.2.2 When
Custom maps are used in the following cases:
● There is no internet connection available.
● The online map source is outdated.
● The resolution of the online map is not sufficient.
16.2.3 Format
A custom map can be a:
● zip file
● .jpg or .png file
