19.3 Monitoring
19.3.1 Monitor the X100 autopilot initialization
P
REREQUISITES
● GCS with flight plan exported to Horizon and uploaded to the X100
● Wireless link between GCS and X100 (LINK field green)
During initialization, the X100 autopilot performs the following actions:
● Acquire a new GPS lock.
● Check the elevons and put them in zero position.
● Initialize the internal sensors (airspeed sensor, accelerometers, altitude pressure sensor,
gyros, ...) of the eBox.
● Download the flight plan to your GCS (Horizon).
You can monitor the status of the initialization in Horizon.
C
AUTION: Keep the X100 stable during initialization.
1 Monitor the status of the GPS field and check for any error messages in the warning mes-
sage field.
2 Once the X100 has acquired a GPS lock (GPS field green), you can monitor the status of
the READY field.
N
OTE: The initialization of the X100 takes about 25 seconds. In its final steps the aircraft
will move its elevons up and down once.
3 Once the sensors are initialized (READY field green), the flight plan in Horizon is replaced
by a new one which is downloaded from the X100 autopilot. Make sure this is the correct
flight plan for the current flight.
R
ESULT
:
The X100 is fully initialized. Errors occurring during initialization are shown in the warning
message field. Possible errors are:
● Accelerometer failed when moving the X100 during initialization
● Fly file invalid command when no POWER CYCLE was performed after uploading the
flight plan
19.3.2 Monitor the battery voltage of the X100
