Prepare for flight
Preparation of the X100 for launch
Set the focus
5 Press the MENU/OK button to enter the menu.
6 Press down one time to select Focus.
7 Press right once to see the possible values.
8 Select (infinity).
9 Press the MENU/OK button to confirm.
Set the snap focus distance
10 Press the MENU/OK button to enter the menu.
11 Press down two times to select Snap Focus Distance.
12 Press right once to see the possible values.
13 Select (infinity).
14 Press the MENU/OK button to confirm.
Select the ISO setting
The ISO setting indicates the light sensitivity of the camera sensor. A low ISO number results
in images with little visual noise but requires more light.
15 Press the MENU/OK button to enter the menu.
16 Press up one time to select ISO Setting.
17 Press right once to see the possible values.
18 Select the appropriate ISO setting.
19 Press the MENU/OK button to confirm.
Set the shutter speed
The shutter speed is the actual time the camera shutter is open and light reaches the sensor
(exposure time).
1. Scroll left/right with the ADJ. lever to adjust the shutter speed.
Set the F-number
The F-number is the diameter of the lens opening (aperture). The F-number:
Sets the amount of light reaching the sensor
Affects the depth of field (distance wherein objects are in focus)
1. Scroll left/right with the up-down dial to change the F-number.
