9.1 Requirements
The RSTi-EP station must be completely assembled and supplied with voltage.
9.1.1 Operating System
The RSTi-EP web server is designed for operation with the Windows
®
XP, Windows 7 and Windows
Vista operating systems.
9.1.2 Browser
The RSTi-EP web server can be used with the following browsers:
Microsoft
®
Internet Explorer
®
9, 10, 11
Mozilla
®
Firefox 4.0 or higher
Opera10.61 or higher
Google
®
Chrome 9.0 or higher
9.1.3 Device Drivers
You need the driver files usb8023.inf and rndis. inf, which you can download from the http://support.ge-ip.com
website.
9.2 Installing the USB Driver
Note: The USB port acts as an virtual DHCP Server. Please do not assign any IP addresses to other
devices within the same subnet of the USB port (default 192.168.1.0), otherwise network failure
might occur.
To install the USB driver
1. Start up your PC.
2. Connect the PC to the network adapter using a USB cable (Type USB-A to USB Micro-B). The
USB socket at the network adapter can be found behind the service flap.
Note: The USB cable can be a maximum of 2 m in length. Extension cables must not be used.
3. You receive the message that Windows cannot install the driver.
4. To install the driver manually, open the Device Manager. Under Other devices the interface
RSTi-EP NA displays.
