5.4.1 Limit switch, approach bar
In operation, the ladder end may only be travelled to a maximum of
3 m above the topmost anchorage point.
There are two possibilities for ensuring this:
First option
• The topmost lock is open and is located a max. of 3 m above the last
anchor.
Second option
• A limit switch approach bar (1)
(Item No. 2364) is hooked into
the ladder section with the two
clips and bolted into position.
The approach plate (2) can be
moved horizontally and must
always be pushed to the far left,
looking at it from the platform.
For comprehensive bridging of
a ladder section, the limit switch
approach bar can be installed
rotated through 180°.
The limit switch approach bar can also be installed below the
trolley, e.g. in order to set the lower stop point for unloading
lorries.
After the limit switch approach bar is installed, a test must be
carried out to ensure that the load platform stops at the approach
plate. The correctly adjusted limit switch approach bar must not be
passed.
