Volume control properties
1. Volume Control assures a preset tidal
volume with constant flow during the
inspiratory time at a preset respiratory
rate.
2. The inspiratory flow is constant and
depends on the user setting.
3. Inspiration starts according to the preset
respiratory rate or when the patient
triggers.

Expiration criteria
Expiration begins:
• When the preset tidal volume is delivered
and after the preset pause time. The patient
is however always guaranteed an expiration
time corresponding to at least 20% of the
total breath.
• If the upper pressure limit is exceeded.
