4.4.2 Laser positioning assistance

Risk of injury
Prolonged exposure to laser light may result in eye damage.
Do not direct a laser beam into the patient’s unprotected eyes. Users must
not look directly into the laser beam.

To determine the optimal lighthead position,
the positioning assistance system (see below)
can be enabled. Two laser beams then appear
in the light field. The lighthead should then be
lowered or raised to bring the two laser beams
closer together.
4.4.2.1 From the lighthead or wall-mounted control keypad

1. Press the Laser 1 button and hold it until it flashes.
Ø The light output level is reduced and two laser dots appear for 20seconds.
2. Position the lighthead so as to bring the two dots closer together.
Ø The lighthead is then at the optimum distance from the area to be illuminated.
3. Press the Laser 1 button again to turn off the laser manually before the 20seconds have
elapsed.
