1.6.1.1 Lightheads

Each lighthead comprises the following components:
Handle mount and sterilisable handle
Control keypad with antibacterial film
Outer handle coated in antibacterial paint
IP44 protection against dust and liquid ingress
Each lighthead includes the following functions:
Boost mode
Light field diameter variation
AIM mode*
ambient lighting with six selectable colours
laser positioning assistance
NOTE
If a configuration has several lightheads, these can be synchronised, i.e. the light-
heads can be set to the same state and controlled simultaneously; see Synchron-
ising the lightheads [8Page57]
PVC film and paint containing silver ions are incorporated on the most used areas of the light-
heads (keyboards, external handle) to ensure antibacterial

efficacy between two cleaning opera-
tions. Silver ions may be released during cleaning operations or in the presence of humidity.
These ions come into contact with bacteria, blocking their metabolism and/or interrupting their
multiplication mechanism, resulting in their elimination.
