1.6.1.1 Lightheads

Each lighthead comprises the following components:

• Handle mount and sterilisable handle

• Control keypad with antibacterial film

• Outer handle coated in antibacterial paint

• IP44 protection against dust and liquid ingress

Each lighthead includes the following functions:

• Boost mode

• Light field diameter variation

• AIM mode*

• ambient lighting with six selectable colours

• laser positioning assistance

NOTE

If a configuration has several lightheads, these can be synchronised, i.e. the light-

heads can be set to the same state and controlled simultaneously; see Synchron-

ising the lightheads [8Page57]

PVC film and paint containing silver ions are incorporated on the most used areas of the light-

heads (keyboards, external handle) to ensure antibacterial

efficacy between two cleaning opera-

tions. Silver ions may be released during cleaning operations or in the presence of humidity.

These ions come into contact with bacteria, blocking their metabolism and/or interrupting their

multiplication mechanism, resulting in their elimination.

ISO 22196:2011 reduction greater than LOG 2 against Staphylococcus aureus and Escheri-

chia coli.
