Abbreviations
In the manual, the following conventions are used:
Indicates a hint or a matter of note - if it refers to a sequence of operations, failure
to follow the instructions may result in measurement errors.
Indicates hazards. There is a risk of equipment damage or personal injury or
death. Carefully read and follow the instructions. Be sure to follow any safety
instructions given in addition to those for the site at which tests are being
performed.
Wherever possible the corresponding standard (IEC, ANSI) definitions are used. The following
abbreviations and definitions are used in this manual:
Coupling Decoupling Network
International Electro-technical Committee
American National Standards Institute
Coupling / Decoupling module (Electrical circuit for transferring energy between
networks with the minimum loss and that attenuates the Surge signal so that it does
not cause undue interference to equipment other than the EUT)
