Calculation Methods
Two methods are available for applying calculations, as follows.
When a calculation is applied automatically, the operation differs depending on the
function.
Default setting: [Numerical Calc.: Off]
Calculating Automatically
after Measurement Starts
(Auto Calculation)
Settings
(p. 179)
Numeric calculation: On
Select the calculation type.
Set automatic saving of cal-
culation results (p. 102)
(If necessary)
Start of
Measure-
ment
(Auto
Calculation)
The operation differs de-
pending on the function.
• [Highspeed]:
Calculates automatically
after reading for specified
recording length.
• [Realtime]:
Calculates in real time
during measurement.
Analyze [Wave+Calc] screen
Configure numerical calculations after
measurement.
Calculating
after Measurement Ends
(Manual Calculation)
Measure-
ment End
Settings
(p. 182)
Numeric calculation: On
Select the calculation type.
(This can also be set from
the [Settings] screen.)
Execute
Calculations
(Waveform Screen)
Analyze
[Wave+Calc] screen
You can also specify the range for which
to perform the calculation (p. 183).
Configure numerical calculations before
starting measurement.
The latest calculated values can be viewed on
the [Wave+Calc] display.
If [Waveform (real time)] saving, [Envelope] function, and [Numerical calcula-
tion] are set at the same time for the Real-time Function, the recording interval
cannot be set to 100 µs and 200 µs.
