Reads and Writes DDS-1, DDS-2, and DDS-3 formats dependent on the mounted tape dimension:
60 meter tape - DDS-1 = 1.3 Gbytes
90 meter tape - DDS-1 = 2.0 Gbytes
120 meter tape - DDS-2 = 4.0 Gbytes With Data Compression enabled.
The above capacities will increase from 2 to 4 times the non-compressed capacities. The average
data compression factor is 2 to 1.

Automatic Error correction and detection
Downloadable firmware
Asynchronous burst data transfer rate = 3.0 Mbytes/sec.
