Installing the air bale
Procedure
1. Observe the following alerts.
CAUTION: For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, bales, expansion slot
covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components, minimize the amount of time the access
panel is open.
CAUTION: Do not detach the cable that connects the battery pack to the cache module. Detaching the cable
causes any unsaved data in the cache module to be lost.
2. Install the air bale.
Removing a riser cage
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and remove all AC power
cords before removing or installing the PCI riser cage.
Procedure
1. Power down the server.
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
