Installing a midplane 4 LFF SAS/SATA drive cage”.

Install the access panel.

Install the server into the rack.
17.
Connect each power cord to the server.
18.
Connect each power cord to the power source.
19.
Power up the server.
The installation is complete.
Installing a 1U or high-performance heatsink
This procedure shows a standard heatsink as an example. The installation process is the same for both the standard and
high-performance heatsinks.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends identifying the processor and socket components before performing this
procedure.
Prerequisites
Before you perform this procedure, make sure that you have the following items available:
• The components included with the hardware option kit
• T-20 Torx screwdriver
•
10 gm (05 ml) or two 05 gm (025 ml) of thermal grease
• Alcohol wipe
