6. Using a web browser on an administrative computer, connect to the SVMC, using the IP address or
hostname previously configured for the system.
7. On the StoreVirtual menu, select Storage Controllers.
8. On the navigation pane, select the storage controller in slot 1, and then select Actions > Edit
TCP/IP on the content pane.
9. Select the management interface (eth2).
10. Enter the desired network settings.
11. Enter the default gateway IP address for static network configurations, or select DHCP.
12. Click OK.
13. Wait 3 minutes for the settings to take effect.
14. On the navigation pane, select the storage controller in slot 2, and then select Actions > Edit
TCP/IP on the content pane.
15. Select the management interface (eth2).
16. Enter the desired network settings.
17. Enter the default gateway IP address for static network configurations, or select DHCP.
18. Click OK.
19. Wait 3 minutes for the settings to take effect.
IMPORTANT:
Use the traffic type default value. Assigning the Management Traffic type to the management
(eth2) interface is not required.
Network traffic routing
Network traffic routing occurs in the following order:
1. Using an interface on the same subnet as the destination.
2. Using the gateway (router) and network interface specified for a destination network in the routing
table.
3. Using the default gateway.
Additional static routes might be required in the routing table when using the MGMT port and changing
traffic type assignments for interfaces other than the management interface. Configurations where
additional static routes might be required include:
