The “Sout Option” menu function is a bit field selection available for version V3.00and higher to select the
following options:
Select SIA Level 1 or 2 serial output format.
The menu functions that where available for version V2.05 that effect more than just the serial output
process have been moved to 4.3.7 Format Options M107.
SIA Output Format
The IDS BSR400 supports “Level 1” and “Level 2” serial output
• 0 – Protocol 1 SIA serial output.
• 1 – Protocol 2 SIA serial output (Default).

The inter-record setting changes the period between records from [00...39]
[00...39][00...39]
[00...39] in 15 millisecond intervals
and an inter-character period is automatically added depending on the inter record period selected.
Default = 0.
[00...39] = 000 to 585 milliseconds.
Inter Character Period
• 000 = No inter character period
• 1...5 = One character period
• 6...10 = Two character period
• >10 = Three character period
