To provide power to the system, turn on the power switch on the back of the unit, beside the IEC
power inlet.
To turn the unit on, press the POWER button in the front and hold for 2 seconds until the red
LED indicator on the side of the button turns off. The system will now boot. When the boot
process is finished and the system is ready, the LED indicator switches to green.

3.2.3 Installation of Canister
The subsea canister can be mounted horisontally (lying down) or vertically. A cradle is available
from Innova for horisontal mounting.
Connect the 5506-2006 connector marked "POWER" to a 110 / 230 VAC power source.". The
unit accepts 85-260VAC or 120-370VDC. The supplied pigtail cable can be used to make a
suitable interface cable. Connector pinout is found in Appendix A.
Connect the fibre of the Seacon Opti-Con fibre optic connector marked "FIBRE" to an available
fibre optic line. A fibre cable and bulkhead connector is supplied to provide an interface to the
fibre J-box in the ROV.
The fibre cable is oil compensated. The bulkhead connector is a Seacon Opti-Con OPT-F-1-BCR
screw type connector. Interface details are found in Appendix B.
