Connect the Printer Using a USB Cable
The printer supports USB connections to a desktop PC. You do not
need to set up any parameters for USB communications.
1 Download and install the InterDriver software on your PC.
2 Connect one end of the USB cable to the back of the printer and
connect the other end to your PC.A “USB Host Connected”
message appears on the printer screen.
Connect the Printer Using a Serial or Parallel Cable
If you have the optional USB-to-Serial adapter cable or USB-to-Parallel
adapter cable for the printer, you can connect the printer to the serial
or parallel port on a PC.
Note: You must install InterDriver to use a USB connection to a
Windows PC. For more information, see the PrinterCompanion CD
that came with your printer.
Note: You must configure all printer settings through the printer
Main Menu, the printer web page, or with PrintSet 5 and a USB
connection before you use a parallel connection to the printer.
