STABILISATIONPROCEDURE
Beforemovingthestabilisersmakesurethat:
•Allinstructionsprovidedinthischapterhavebeencompliedwith
•Thegroundwherethemachineisstabilisediscompactandcansupportthe
weightofthemachineandthemaximumpossiblereactionforceononestabiliser;
•therearenoobstaclesonthestab
ilisationareaandinthetrajectoryofeachin‐
dividualstabiliser;
•themachineiscompletelyclosedand aligned,inthestabilisationposition.
• Stabilisationcanbecarriedoutfromthecontrolpositioninthebasketoron
theground.Ifperformingtheoperationfromtheground,makesurethereiscom‐
pletevisibilityofthetrajectoryofeachindi
vidualstabiliserbeforemovingitand
check that at the end of the stabilisation procedure the distance between the
Alwayskeepadistancefromembankmentsorditchesthatisequivalenttothe
depthofsuchandobservetherequiredsafetydistancefrompowerlines.
Avoidanycontactwithobjectsorpersonswhenloweringthestabiliser
s.
Whenworkingtheloadononeindividualstabilisercanincreasegreatlyduetothe
shiftingofweight,especiallyifextensionand/orrotationoperationsareperformed.
