INTRODUCTION
The Heli mode of the X9503 2.4 system is intended for
use in model helicopters with all types of Swashplate
mixing. It contains a host of advanced features that are
easy to set up and use. The features have been designed
to assist the pilot in realizing the full potential of the
helicopter. These features include:
• Switch Assignments for Specific Channels/
Functions
• Flight Modes (up to 6)
• Dual Rates/Exponential (up to 3 settings each for
Aileron, Elevator and Rudder)
• Swashplate Type (Normal, 120, 140, and
90 CCPM)
• Adjustable Trim Rates (10 – 100 Trim Steps)
• Built-In Cyclic-to-Throttle Mixing for Aileron,
Elevator, and Rudder
• Governor Pre-Program Mix
• Throttle Curves (up to 5) with up to 7 Points
• Pitch Curves (up to 6) with up to 7 Points

In addition, the X9503 2.4 allows you to combine,
activate, and deactivate multiple features such as Dual
Rates, Gyro Gain, and Governor settings, using the Flight
Mode switch. This capability dramatically reduces your
workload, allowing you to focus on the task of flying.
Even if you’re comfortable with programming, you
should still read this part of the manual to get a basic
understanding of the X9503 2.4.
This section begins with entering the System Menu,
selecting a model and activating the HELI Mode, and
progresses through the remainder of the System Menu
options and then through the individual functions. The
descriptions here are general in nature and serve to
identify the available functions, why they are included and
when a particular function should be used.
Those who have some experience with computer radios
will probably be able to program their helicopter as they
read through this section, as individual functions are
generally simple and the X9503 2.4 is very intuitive.
Getting started begins with accessing the SYSTEM Menu.
This is where you select models, identify modes, indicate
modulation type and store other high-level information
for the model. You can also activate some of the more
advanced programming features such as Swashplate Types
and Governor Program activation.
