4.3 Mast versions
4.3.1 Standard mast version with telescopic mast (ZT)
Telescopic mast design (ZT)
The telescopic mast (ZT) consists of the following components:
– Outer mast.
The outer mast is rigidly connected to the basic truck.
– Inner mast.
The inner mast runs in the outer mast.
– Fork carriage with forks.
The fork carriage runs in the inner mast.
Operating principle of the telescopic mast (ZT)
When operating the hydraulic "lift" function, the inner mast is lifted by two outer
hydraulic cylinders (see page 171). The fork carriage is raised at the same time by
chains.
Z
For a description of hydraulic "lift" function, see page 171.
WARNING!
Risk of collision caused by the lift mast due to the changed mast height (h
1
)
The dimension "mast height lowered“ (h
1
) increases as soon as the fork carriage is
raised. The operator must take this changed mast height into account when
operating the truck (e. g. when driving through doorways, when the ceiling is low,
etc.).
u
When operating the truck, ensure that the lift mast does not collide with obstacles.
