80 Support to protect the fastening belt from sharp edges

Torn fastening belts can cause accidents
Fastening belts can tear when routed over sharp edges.

Do not route the fastening belts over sharp edges. If this is not possible, protect
the fastening belts with suitable supports such as foam.

Protect fastening belts routed over lift chains with a suitable support such as foam.
Safe mast loading by crane
Requirements
– Park the truck securely, see page 191.
– Remove the mast. The mast can only be removed by the manufacturer's specialist
customer service personnel who have been trained to do this. In exceptional
cases this task may be performed by a customer service organisation authorised
by the manufacturer.
Tools and Material Required
– Crane lifting gear, capacity see page 35.
– Two pallets with identical dimensions and composition.
Procedure

For the mast weight including fork carriage to be taken into account, see page 35.
• Secure the fork carriage (19) with a lashing strap (81) to prevent accidental
movement.
• Attach the crane lifting gear to the attachment point "upper cross-member “ (84) of
the lift mast so that it cannot slip.
The mast can now be lifted.
